The members of TribeMind Studios ceased active collaboration in March 2007. I think this was mostly a result of a lack of time available to commit to the project. After a summer of intense and rewarding full-time development, we were all working or back in school. The time that we were able to make available was allocated to developing the business side of TribeMind. This was in fact very successful, and we were excited to win first place in RIT's business plan competition.
After this victory, we at TribeMind decided to focus on our personal financial or educational goals. We stopped active development in order to pursue employment or education. Our team is now all over the country, with members in New York, Texas, Massachusetts, Washington, and Michigan.
I think this was a great learning experience for all of us. It made a huge impression on me personally, conveying how attainable it really is to start one's own company. I plan to attempt a software venture of my own at some point in the future, and I credit this experience for the motivation to do so.
In the end, I feel gratitude for being able to be a part of such an enriching and educational experience. I want to thank RIT for supporting us. The Venture Creations program at RIT was incredible to us and the other startup companies that it looks after. Venture Creations is a great program and a wonderful opportunity for students to develop entrepreneurial acumen in a safe, low risk environment. I also want to thank all of the members of TribeMind for putting so much of their time and energy into this effort. I hope that you all were able to get out of this experience as much enjoyment and knowledge as you invested. I know I did.
Thank you very sincerely,
Eric Miller
